Tea Party supporters across the nation let out a collective cheer, when Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski conceded victory in the recent primary to her Tea Party-backed opponent Joe Miller. In admitting defeat Murkowski gave up the Republican nomination for senator to Miller, an attorney.

After last week’s primary election was too close to call, election officials began counting absentee ballots. As of Tuesday 15,000 of the 25,000 ballots were counted and the political vet Murkowski still trailed her novice opponent by 1,630 votes....more

Super Sunglasses pays homage to fellow style purveyor Highsnobiety with its 2nd pair of collaborative sunglasses.

To celebrate the the popular style blog's 5th birthday, Super used its Andrea model. The limited-edition shades, which retail for $295, feature a briar-inspired acetate and fine Italian black leather.

Available at New York's West and Union, only 12 units will be sold in the US, while 80 units will be sold worldwide.

UK singer and songwriter Ellie Goulding will make her stateside debut with her US debut EP, An Introduction to Ellie Goulding (Cherrytree/Interscope), this September.

Due September 21, the set is a sampling of Goulding's “electro-folk-acoustic-pop" sound. The 23-year-old will make her maiden voyage to the US in support of the project this fall. She's scheduled to perform in Los Angeles at the Roxy on September 28 and in New York on September 30 at Hiro Ballroom....more
